Built in an era when entertaining on a grand scale was the norm, Belle House is truly a wonderful space for receptions, weddings, private dinner parties, events and meetings. The combination of elegance and sophistication make it perfect for all events.
Belle House creates a lovely backdrop for any event. In the evening, the soft glow of candles and glittering crystal chandeliers sets an old-fashioned tone. It’s a perfect location for a wedding or reception.
Relax in true Southern style on our wraparound porch or meander through the rooms filled with antique furnishings. Hold your next event at a location with all the charm and flair an authentic gilded-era Victorian home has to offer.
History of the Home
Belle House was built in 1896 as the private residence of Murfreesboro’s local jeweler, William R. Bell. Located two blocks off the historic square on East Main Street, his turn of the century residence was in Murfreesboro’s most exclusive neighborhood. The two-story red brick Queen Anne is still a delightful example of Victorian enthusiasm for combining features such as the distinctive stained glass windows with classic architectural details. After a complete restoration, in 2004, Belle House became the only facility of its kind located in Murfreesboro’s charming Downtown Historic District.
